If you mount a new camshaft, it’s necessarily to replace the cam followers too, as they wear in on each other. If you don’t replace them, there is a considerable chance that your new camshaft will wear rapidly. If your old cam followers are worn in (standard they are domed), we recommend you mount a new set of domed cam followers.
Originally they were cut domed to avoid friction, so less wear and less noise. You can also buy domed cam followers at VGS. It’s these little details that give your engine that extra bit!
